

Dr. Scudder Mackey recently retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and now provides part-time consulting and advisory services on Great Lakes environmental and water quality issues. He specializes in coastal change mapping and hazards analysis; Great Lakes water levels and hydrology; climate change impacts on coastal and nearshore systems; coastal resiliency and adaptive management; landscape conservation design and restoration; nature-based shoreline design and implementation, beneficial uses of dredge material, and the development and application of innovative approaches and technologies to address pressing Great Lakes issues. Dr. Mackey earned a PhD in Geology from the State University of New York at Binghamton, a MS degree in Geology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BS degree in Geology from Hobart College.
